SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the labeling, staging, and picking of production. Also, responsible for load out's and receiving of all products and supplies for the dry operation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Reports to and follows the directions of the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and Plant Supervisor/Foreperson.
โ€ข Maintain proper rotation of the products, inventory of supplies, and of assigned items.
โ€ข See that all powder orders are properly shipped, and all necessary paperwork is properly filled out.
โ€ข Assure that the warehouse stays clean and orderly at all times and that yellow borders stay clean. All supplies and inventory items remain 18" from the walls.
โ€ข The warehouse must remain USDA inspection ready at all times.
โ€ข Conduct monthly and yearly inventories.
โ€ข Keep management personnel up to date on warehouse operations through verbal and written communications.
โ€ข Confirm product quality is acceptable prior to shipping.
โ€ข Assure that all products meet customer requirements.
โ€ข Inspects all trucks prior to loading; they must be clean, free of any foreign debris. Do not load any damaged product.
โ€ข Aid in the training of new personnel.
โ€ข Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
โ€ข Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข This position has no employee supervisory requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
โ€ข Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.
โ€ข Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation.
โ€ข Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
โ€ข Must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
โ€ข Basic computational skills required.
โ€ข Simple math and reasoning required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
โ€ข A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
โ€ข High School level verbal and written communication skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
โ€ข Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License.
