Responsible for the detailed management of the property's Security and Health Safety Team, and ensuring it conforms to all relevant security policies.
Responsible for the detailed production of the Local Security Policies and Procedures, and Crisis/Emergency Plans, including obtaining appropriate input on local laws or similar requirements.
Responsible with the General Manager for ensuring that baseline security measures deliver the intent contained in the guidance sections.
Responsible with the General Manager for ensuring that risk based security measures deliver a security posture that is matched to security risk. They should achieve the intent contained in the guidance sections.
Responsible for implement the Local SG-SST.
Conducting a security risk assessment, at least once a year and on an 'as required' basis;
Ensuing that the property's Local Security Policies and Procedures are aligned with local law, and any local Health and Safety legislation;
Forming strategic and working level relationships with local law enforcement, emergency response and other security stakeholders;
The approval of job descriptions for individual members of the Security Department;
Ensuring the delivery of appropriate security and safety training to the Security and other relevant Departments.
The following roles are also the responsibility of the Security Manager, but may be delegated to the Assistant Security Manager if one is appointed:
Act as the line manager for the Security Officers;
Produce job descriptions for all members of the Security Department;
Produce a training program for the Security Department;
Keep the Local Security Policies and Procedures up to date.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous Security experience preferred, especially in a luxury environment
  • Must have strong communication skills, and ability to adapt to constant change within the Hotel
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills - Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
