Job description

AWS Infrastructure Security is hiring a Physical Security Program Manager to own security system installation during end-to-end data center construction. You will manage security vendors from request for quotation stage through project completion. You will review designs, validate installations, and accept systems.

You will ensure every site meets AWS Physical Security Standards before handoff to operations.
Key job responsibilities
Own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for physical security systems (including but not limited to access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance systems and supporting components) - from staging and pre-configuration through installation oversight, integration verification, and operational handoff.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on proposed security system designs, vendor solutions, and site conditions to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities prior to project initiation.
Perform site assessments and feasibility analyses to validate that proposed security architectures meet AWS Physical Security Standards and local regulatory requirements.
Execute reviews of security system drawings, markups, and submittals; provide detailed technical feedback to design engineers and vendors to drive design accuracy and compliance.
Develop and validate programming logic for access control systems, intrusion detection panels, video management systems, and integrated alarm platforms to ensure systems operate per AWS security requirements.
Serve as the escalation point for complex (Level 2/Level 3) physical security system issues - diagnosing root causes across hardware, software, network, and integration layers.
Lead physical security integration testing and validate testing events; document & track results, punch list items, and acceptance criteria to ensure systems meet operational readiness standards prior to handoff.
Document & track vendor performance: installation quality, service delivery, equipment reliability, verify accuracy of quotes, contractual requirements/deliverables.
Evaluate competing priorities, technical constraints, and business requirements to make sound engineering decisions under ambiguity and time pressure.
About the team
