Location: Atlanta GA ( Hybrid)
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Systems Engineer (IT SE) is a member of the IT Infrastructure Team that identifies, plans, designs, delivers, operates, and controls Information Technology services offered at the Department of Community Affairs (DCA). We are seeking an experienced, self-starter IT Systems Engineer with demonstrated competence and thought leadership capability to contribute toward the success of our business operations and improvement initiatives. The IT SE is responsible for implementing servers, storage, and network infrastructure to DCA's IT best practices as well as troubleshooting some of the most difficult issues that can occur in our clients most complex networks. It is very technical in nature and requires extensive knowledge of networking concepts, Exchange, Microsoft server software, virtualization, security, and SAN technologies. This individual must be able to understand in detail how everything interconnects, and how changes, no matter how small, can affect other aspects of the system infrastructure. DCA is a state organization dedicated to partnering with communities to help create a climate of success for Georgia's families and businesses. This position is onsite at 60 Executive Park S #2231, Atlanta, GA 30329. A hybrid schedule will be determined by the start date. A full time opportunity may be extended at the end of the duration.
Requirements
โ€ข 3-5 years Demonstrated experience supporting, implementing, and migrating to Office 365, Advanced Networking Concepts (ex. VLANS, Routing, NAT, VPN), Active Directory & Group Policy, Internet Information Server (IIS) web hosting admin, System Center, SQL Server, Dell SAN, Equalogic, Power Vault versions, a blend of Windows Servers, Windows workstations, LAN, Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server, SharePoint, SSO or 2 Factor Authentication, High availability and redundant architecture, Cisco & Celestix firewall, switch and WAP's, backup and recovery
โ€ข VMWare ESXi 5-6, & Hyper V experience is a plus
โ€ข Demonstrated experience providing in-person help desk, and Tier 3 & 4 support during and after a migration
or implementation effort, within an O&M environment
โ€ข Provide technical documentation and assistance/engineering for project based assignments โ€ข Documents and
maintains IT policies and procedures related to function and audits.

Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering,
or Computer related field - i.e. Computer Science.
โ€ข 3-5 years' experience interacting with customers and appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify,
verify, document and manage the requirements
โ€ข 3-5 years' experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013, and Database technologies (e.g., SQL)
โ€ข Expert in Network documentation and diagramming (Visio is required)
โ€ข Confidently knowledgeable about
Microsoft products, particularly Office 365, associated benefits as well as pitfalls, and integration methods
โ€ข Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written
communication skills.
โ€ข Microsoft MCSE and/or MCSA certification
โ€ข Security+ Certification preferred
โ€ข Demonstrated experience working in ITIL Service Management organization
is a plus
โ€ข Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Perl, PowerShell, or VBScript).
โ€ข Extensive knowledge of software licensing, product and vendor evaluation, technical troubleshooting, and
software processing improvement
โ€ข Working knowledge of IT audit and control, governance, asset management, change control, and technical
writing/documentation
