Job description

Do you like helping organizational leaders think through how to secure services in the AWS Cloud?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a security solutions architect to work with some of our largest Strategic customers. At AWS, customer obsession is in our DNA. The successful candidate will become a trusted advisor to our customers and will work with AWS sales, business development, solutions architecture and product teams to develop the security and compliance expertise needed to deliver results. In this vital role, you will help customers achieve their business goals on AWS by identifying and tackling major security, risk, and compliance questions from stakeholders in areas such as Identity, Data Protection, Network Security, and Generative AI. You will work directly with customer security, engineering, audit, risk and compliance teams to help them understand how to confidently use AWS.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with AWS Strategic customers to convey cloud computing security, compliance, and risk management best practices
- Provide subject matter expertise on security topics including identity, data protection, network security, and agent-based AI
- Design and Build working proof-of-concept architectures to tackle emerging security challenges
- Develop technical content, such as white papers and reference architectures, that can be used by our customers to assist them in deploying secure and compliant cloud-based solutions
- Provide mentorship across AWS sales and solutions architecture teams regarding Security and Identity to build skills in the field
- Work with customers to better understand compliance models in the cloud
- Represent AWS at trade events by delivering presentations and workshops

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
