Job description

Job Description Are you a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with cutting-edge security technologies. Our client is seeking a Security Service Technician to join a growing team responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing access control systems, surveillance cameras, low-voltage cabling, and related security technologies at customer locations. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, service, and maintain access control systems, surveillance cameras, and related security technologies.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and device performance issues across security and low-voltage systems. Install and terminate low-voltage cabling including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic, and related infrastructure. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system testing to ensure optimal system performance.

Diagnose and resolve issues involving cameras, access control panels, card readers, locks, wireless devices, and network-connected security equipment. Read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and installation plans. Document service activities, equipment configurations, repairs, and customer interactions.

Communicate professionally with customers regarding project status, service needs, and system operation. Maintain compliance with safety procedures while working on ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas. Collaborate with project teams, technicians, and management to successfully complete installations and service requests.

Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in physical security, low-voltage systems, electronics, IT support, telecommunications, alarm systems, or a related technical field. Experience working with access control systems and surveillance camera technologies. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms. Ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds regularly.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Excellent verbal communication and professionalism when interacting with customers.
