Job description

Title: Information Security Project Manager

Location: Saint Paul, MN (Remote)

Duration: 12 Months

This role provides leadership and management direction to staff assigned to projects, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing out projects. Establish operating procedures and processes within the general project and serve as the organization's professional management resource within the project content area. Coordinate the work of internal and external participants, stakeholders, and consultants or vendors to ensure successful completion of projects. This role is responsible for managing the development of more than one mid-size project that requires collaboration and coordination with various work units.

Sample Tasks

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close out mid size IS projects.
  • Establish operating procedures within project scope; serve as the organization’s management resource.
  • Lead project team coordinating internal/external participants, stakeholders, and vendors for successful delivery.
  • Manage schedule, budget, risks, and communications; maintain status reporting.
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and alignment with objectives; handle escalations.
  • Document lessons learned and transition to operations/support teams.
  • Provide knowledge transfer

Qualifications

  • B.S., B.A., or an Associate Degree in Information Technology, or a related field,
  • 5 years of experience in Service Delivery role
  • 3 years of experience with IT implementations
  • 1 year of experience with IT Security work efforts and implementations
  • Experience with waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies
  • Experience in change management and tools
  • Ability to translate technical information for nontechnical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Skilled at influencing without direct authority, fostering collaboration, and building consensus.
