Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary:

The Security Services Manager helps to coordinate operations within the Security Services. Under the supervision of the Director of Security Services, this role assists with the department initiatives and programs operations; standardized processes; colleague onboarding; ongoing communications as well as performing a wide variety of complex, sensitive, highly responsible, and confidential administrative and advanced clerical functions in support of assigned department leadership.

This person will serve as a liaison between business owners; Emergency Operations corporate leadership; division and facility leadership; and other corporate stakeholders. This role requires extensive focus on building and expanding relationships with leadership and staff to support Security Services objectives and activities across the company.

The Manager must have a combination of skills including strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, creativity, and critical thinking skills, and the ability to influence, guide, and/or lead others necessary to accomplish departmental goals.

The Manager will also have excellent organizational skills and the uncanny ability to multitask.

The ability to create graphs, charts, and presentations. Strong organizational skills; strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop professional relationships.

Major Responsibilities:

Program Coordination:

  • Support scheduling and ongoing operation of division, facility, and line-of-business governance structures to facilitate an effective, efficient, and standardized approach to security risk management.
  • Help drive consistency of the Emergency Operations program and solutions by coordinating and managing Staffing and Technology vendors reporting and quarterly business reviews
  • Help develop program content, tools, and processes to maximize program capability to meet organizational business objectives.
  • Help Program Management establish priorities and schedules for physical security projects
  • Receive, process, and maintain confidential and/or sensitive information and materials: create/maintain documents and files
  • Help coordinate and run department-wide events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Assist in paying vendors, maintains office supplies and budget, and oversee other expenses necessary to the day-to-day administrative operations.
  • Perform a wide variety of varied, complex, sensitive, highly responsible, and confidential administrative, secretarial, and advanced clerical functions in support of assigned department employees.
  • Research travel options and schedule travel via Concur

Communication:

  • Assist to identify and developing communication needs and manage the publications of communications strategies and content.
  • Coordinate with other communications teams to ensure that workforce training includes company-required Physical Security content & validate the effectiveness of training to monitor the health of the facility's Information Protection & Security Program
  • Help prepare and/or publish high-quality, professional deliverables such as toolkits and supporting materials (PowerPoint) to enable divisions and facilities to accelerate their Physical Security programs.
  • Facilitate effective communications among all team members and leadership to ensure a comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations, and requirements.

Staff Development:

  • Ensure appropriate and timely on-boarding/off-boarding of the Physical Security team
  • Assist in developing and maintaining onboarding guidance for new Regional Security Directors (RSDs)
  • Provide effective planning and support to ensure the appropriate training and development programs are utilized to retain and develop personnel.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Required
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant field – Required
