Job Description
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Security Analyst for Personnel Security is an intermediate level of the professional security organization career ladder who prepares and implements all aspects of the personnel security program in compliance with the Security Program. Assists more experienced personnel with coordination, implementation and monitoring of security programs such as, but not limited to, identification and protection of information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, material or other resources from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, vandalism, tampering, espionage, sabotage or loss. Individuals are responsible for supporting personnel security, which includes personnel security clearance program, badging program and Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI) program.
What You will Be Doing:
  • Monitor, evaluate and maintain existing Security procedures, plans and programs. Execute responsibilities within Personnel Security with responsibility of reviewing, processing, and maintaining personnel security clearances requests and FOCI for all Centrus entities and contractors to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Assist with execution of Centrus and ACO policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the Personnel Security Program and other aspects of the Security Program for the project.by addressing concerns, ensuring compliance to applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ensures NRC/DOE policies, procedures and practices related to personnel security, protection of classified matter and special nuclear materials are maintained; revise Security Program/Plans and procedures as necessary and determines if proposed changes require NRC approval.
  • Provide guidance to company and contract personnel to ensure compliance with established security requirements.
  • Maintain records regarding personnel security program and FOCI.
  • May assist in developing and implementing new security plans, programs and procedures in accordance with regulator (NRC/DOE) guidelines and orders.
  • May assist in the development and execution of security education and awareness training for new hires and as continuing awareness for employees.
  • May manage Facility access control systems and programs.
  • May serve as the point of contact (or back-up) for security related issues at the site.
  • May develop Change Evaluations for the Security Plans and the NRC operating License. Assist in developing and implementing new security plans, programs and procedures in accordance with regulator (NRC/DOE) guidelines and orders.
  • Develop and maintain Badge and Visitor Control, Clearances, and FOCI Databases to track site badges, clearances, and contracts for the program, communicating with NRC/DOE, as required, to obtain approval on FOCI submittals.
  • Assist the Security Manager in planning and performance for comprehensive facility security inspection activities and visits by NRC and DOE Inspectors.
  • Assists with plans, schedules, coordinates, monitors/reports progress to Security Manager and completes assigned security assignments.
  • Interface with NRC/DOE, as required, for Personnel Security Program activities and inspections.
  • Tracks security commitment related issues and corrective actions utilizing a web-based corrective actions tracking system.
  • Perform administrative/staff functions such as equipment and resource management; may perform self-assessments/audits; and may serve as facility custodian of security facilities.
  • Responsible for Foreign National Visits/Tours, to include developing security plan and other necessary documentation for submittal and untimely, NRC approval.
  • Develop security plans for uncleared individuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Associate's degree in criminal justice, Business Administration, Cyber Security, Security Management, or equivalent education and related field and technical experience
  • Two or more (2+) years of Security related experience
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Stronger Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience with NRC/DOE or other regulating agency procedures, practices, policies, and requirements

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
