As part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) team, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, affordable systems to our customers. From supplier management to program execution, GSCM ensures safety, security, and sustainability while driving efficiency and effectiveness across all program phases.
As a Material Program Manager (MPM) you're a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, you're able to lead and influence cross-functional teams without having any direct reports. The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, negotiating or project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop and execute material program plans, subcontract management plans (as applicable)
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program responsibilities & proactively manage mitigation plans
  • Completing quarterly financial management reviews using Earned Value Management through the EAC (Estimate at Complete) process
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Collaborate with supply chain functions for support as needed
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
  • Support all gate review and activity, EAC review, program review and risk and opportunity management reviews
  • Oversight of subcontractor execution performance

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, or Program/Project Management.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (special program access or equivalent manufacturing programs).
  • Must obtain MPM certification level 4 within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proven experience of successfully managing budgets and resolving complex issues to meet program objectives and deadlines.
  • Experience in a Matrix organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of government acquisition regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS) and supplier negotiations.
  • Active and transferable Secret Clearance U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access after start.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Security Clearance: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
