Position Summary

The Safety & Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations functions at Chula Vista Resort. This role ensures the safety of guests, staff, and assets while maintaining compliance with legal and operational standards. The position also leads training, staffing, and strategic initiatives related to security and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations:
- Oversee daily operations of the security department
- Develop and implement departmental strategies, goals, and operational plans
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate security personnel
- Create staff schedules and daily task assignments
- Ensure consistent service quality and adherence to company standards
- Maintain a professional appearance and enforce uniform standards

Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, safety regulations, and sanitation standards
- Safeguard company assets and confidential information
- Serve as liaison between injured parties and insurance providers
- Facilitate recovery of funds related to guest damages
- Maintain vehicle registration and insurance compliance
Security Systems & Asset Control:
- Oversee surveillance systems in coordination with IT
- Maintain tracking of keys, radios, and equipment
- Review incident reports and take corrective action
- Plan and coordinate security for events
Staff Management & Development:
- Develop and implement training programs
- Conduct employee evaluations
- Address performance issues and enforce disciplinary actions
