IT Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and maintain our IT infrastructure, network operations, and voice systems. The IT Manager will ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology services that support business objectives, oversee day-to-day technical operations, manage cross-functional IT projects, and mentor the IT team.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage IT infrastructure including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services, and end-user computing to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architecture and services (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs) and troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Oversee voice systems and telephony operations, including VoIP platforms, call routing, SIP trunks, PBX administration, and quality of service monitoring.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices for security, change management, configuration management, and incident response.
  • Manage vendors, service providers, and third-party contracts; evaluate new technologies and negotiate purchases and support agreements.
  • Plan and execute IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, network redesigns, migrations, and cloud integrations, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity; perform proactive maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead the IT team; define roles, set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and promote professional development.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to cross-functional teams and stakeholders; act as escalation point for critical incidents.
  • Prepare and manage the IT budget, forecast needs, and report on key performance indicators and project status to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a management or team-lead role.
  • Proven expertise in IT infrastructure management including servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or similar).
  • Strong network engineering skills with hands-on experience in routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs; familiarity with network monitoring tools.
  • Experience administering voice/telephony systems (VoIP, SIP, PBX) and implementing voice administration concepts and QoS.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft, or vendor-specific cloud/voice certifications are a plus.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, endpoint protection, authentication, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, ability to prioritize competing demands, and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage incidents and outages, and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
