Industrial Security Manager

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Security Manager to join the team in Herndon, VA or Arlington, VA.

Are you ready to lead a mission-critical security team and make a measurable impact protecting Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral classified information? As our Industrial Security Manager, you'll own the security posture for programs that matter. You will be overseeing compliance assessments, security inquiries, implementation of controls, and continuous process improvement. You'll build and execute strategic plans, secure resources, guide technical suppliers, and set operational goals while inspiring and developing a high-performing team. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders across the enterprise, approve technical approaches and products, and shape the policies and procedures that keep sensitive programs safe. Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure the flawless execution of classified security programs at the SCI and other restricted or proprietary levels and achieve all operational goals

  • Lead and mentor employees, perform security administration activities to protect information from unauthorized disclosure, conduct security inquiries, oversee compliance assessments implementation security controls and protecting personnel, information, and equipment

  • Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company program operations

  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Assist with team members' professional development and growth

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functionalproject/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security

  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: SCI, NISP, and/or COMSEC

  • 5+ years of experience with Project Management

  • 5+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense and/or Aerospace environment

  • 5+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers
