Job description

Titan Security is currently hiring a Security Lieutenant to work at an Industrial location in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Responsibilities include but are no limited to:

  • Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details.
  • Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Fill in for the Site Manager (in their absence) or open Shift Security Captain positions.
  • Trained to cover any position under their supervision.
  • Provide detailed information on vehicle inspections
  • Document departmental pre-operational vehicle checks
  • Provide both departmental vehicle inventories and general departmental inventories.
  • Review traffic enforcement, specifically including a summary of written tickets.
  • Provide a summary of patrol activities.
  • Conduct and report on an audit of building inspections.
  • Provide a summary  of active security systems and any equipment impairments.
  • Outline a summary of safety concerns.
  • Document a summary of training activities alongside a drill summary.
  • Report a summary of gate paperwork discrepancies.
  • Provide a summary of generated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Benefits:

Education and/or Experience: Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Minimum of 2 of Supervisor Experience and Industrial Security experience. Previous MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience preferred. 

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Certifications: CPP certification (ASIS),  OSHA-10.

Physical Demands: The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.

Salary & Benefits: Compensation starting at $19.00 per hour plus paid vacation and personal days, medical insurance, dental insurance, life and AD&D insurance, optional life and AD&D insurance, paid holidays, and 401(k) match.
