This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers (use as appropriate), you will guard and supervise company grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other loss of company property. Tours premises, monitors grounds via surveillance equipment and via guard stations. Greets and directs visitors, provides temporary visitor IDs, and maintains a visitor's log. Responds to security breaches and prepares and files reports describing incidents, accidents, or intruders. Incumbents in this position do not carry a firearm while on duty.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor cctv cameras
  • Issuance of proper visitor badges including ITAR
  • Respond to emergency situations (fire/medical/suspicious person/etc.)
  • Execute security support as dictated by Blue Origin security leadership
  • Function as liaison with law enforcement and emergency responders
  • Availability to work any schedule needed, to include nights, overtime, weekends and rotating
  • Mentor other security members to identify and report suspicious behavior to management
  • Plan and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation operations
  • Support/Lead the execution of plans in support of Blue Origin operations
  • Execute roving patrols of assigned locations
  • Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
  • Valid US state issued driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • History of critical incident handling experience
  • Documented small unit leadership experience
  • Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security officers (serve as FTO)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)
  • Military deployment and/or counterinsurgency experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Computer based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Extensive team-oriented experience

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
