Job description

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) has an on-premise 2016 SharePoint farm running several custom C# .NET solutions accessible as web parts in the environment. The applications have been converted from existing local ColdFusion applications which range in size from a few thousand lines of code to over 100,000 lines of code. PNS develops local applications utilizing SharePoint 2016 as the main access point for the customer base. The remaining ColdFusion applications need to be converted to C# .NET solutions deployed as web parts to meet a requirement to remove all ColdFusion applications from our environment. New applications within the SharePoint Farms need to be developed and implemented to meet the needs of the customers all while complying with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements and Microsoft’s best practices for SharePoint. This project will require assisting current application developers with migrating existing ColdFusion applications into the SharePoint environment using the existing methodology used for the conversion of several other applications. This includes assessing current applications and developing a strategy to migrate to the SharePoint environment. SharePoint Developer with .NET application programmer experience, SharePoint web part development in Visual Studio 2017, familiar with application development languages (such as ColdFusion) to convert existing ColdFusion applications to C# user controls with client side and server-side code. Four years of web application development experience including developing custom database driven web parts and timer jobs for SharePoint on premise and cloud-based solutions The ColdFusion (CF)/.NET SharePoint Developer provides additional support to make functional changes to critical applications as well as providing a backup to local application support / troubleshooting when applications fail and the single primary support is unavailable (SDO, or on Leave) The position also applies security fixes to applications based on Fortify vulnerability scans. The position supports the conversion of CF applications to .NET. Migrating existing ColdFusion applications into the SharePoint environment Developing of C# .NET database driven web applications running as user controls (ascx, ascx.cs).

.Net framework C# Programming Language Certification in one of the following is required: a) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification

c) C-Council Network Security Administrator (ENSA) certification
d) DON-approved graduate degree from an accredited university
