Job Description

As a Security Officer - Dispatch in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor systems and communications, coordinate responses to security-related concerns, and help support smooth daily operations. This role blends strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor communication channels, alarms, cameras, and/or other site systems from the dispatch post, and relay security-related information to on-site personnel, building contacts, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and helping to coordinate timely follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, activity records, and/or shift communications to support daily operations and security-related awareness.
  • Conduct regular and random patrol coordination around the business and perimeter, track officer status and assignments, and help to deter unauthorized activity through active monitoring and communication.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
