Hiring Now! Retail Security Dispatcher
$19.00/Hourly
Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a security command center dispatcher, and/or other safety and protection related fields, including customer service roles.
Must be able to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
The Security Dispatcher plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of a large retail mall environment. This position is responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating field officers, and serving as the communication hub for all security-related activity.
Must have a current valid Wisconsin Security License. Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours. Must have a clean driving record. Prior security, dispatch, or call-center experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarms, and radio traffic to identify and respond to security incidents
  • Dispatch security officers to calls for service, emergencies, and routine patrols across the property
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with officers, mall management, tenants, and emergency services
  • Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client
  • Document all incidents, officer activity, and relevant observations in real-time using security software
  • Track officer locations, break schedules, and shift coverage to ensure proper staffing and response readiness
  • Assist with lost-and-found reports, customer assistance calls, and general mall inquiries
  • Support emergency response procedures, including evacuations, medical incidents, and law enforcement coordination
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a calm, authoritative demeanor during high-pressure situations
  • Other duties to be determined by management

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Valid Wisconsin Guard License
  • Prior security, dispatch, or call-center experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers, security software, and radio communication systems
  • Ability to remain composed and make quick decisions during emergencies
  • High attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience
  • Minimum of one year of security experience
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
