 THIS IS FOR A FUTURE OPENING

Security Director

STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP).   Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi's selection as the successful awardee.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:  

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the nursing home facility against potential threats, unauthorized access, and security breaches.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and risk evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and implement proactive measures to mitigate security risks.
  • Supervise security personnel, including security officers and guards, to ensure compliance with security protocols, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to security staff to enhance their knowledge, skills, and effectiveness in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Utilize security cameras, access control systems, and other surveillance technologies to monitor and surveil the nursing home premises for suspicious activities, intrusions, or security incidents.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms, emergency calls, and incidents, coordinating appropriate response and intervention measures as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for various security scenarios, including medical emergencies, fire outbreaks, natural disasters, and security threats.
  • Conduct regular drills, training exercises, and simulations to ensure staff readiness and effectiveness in responding to emergencies.
  • Collaborate with nursing home management, department heads, and external stakeholders to address security concerns, coordinate security-related activities, and promote a culture of safety and security throughout the facility.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and visitors to provide guidance, assistance, and reassurance regarding security-related matters and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate security incidents, accidents, or breaches, document relevant information, collect evidence, and prepare incident reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, incidents, and responses for documentation, analysis, and future reference.
