Description
Provide for the safety of all individuals frequenting Coastal Carolina Community College, maintaining security and fire protection for facilities and capital equipment assets on campus, and prepare security related reports.
Weekday, weekend, and holidays. Prefer six month's Security experience; provide protection for faculty, staff, students, and property. Must be able to patrol campus on foot and in vehicles; and complete written accident reports on campus and at off-campus extension sites. Additional duties include ticket writing, directing traffic during peak periods and special events. Excellent oral and written communication skills; good customer service skills are essential.
Standard working hours: Saturday - Monday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Salary: $18.00 per hour.
Start date: October 1, 2026.
Closing date: Open until filled.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, and valid drivers' license, required. Must possess a CPR/First Responder Certification or be willing to obtain within three (3) months. Six months experience in security or law enforcement preferred, but not required. Working hours are Saturday-Sunday-Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and as needed.
