Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Site Security in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $17.63 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced technology environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
