MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Host Based Security Systems, Endpoint Security Solutions (HBSS/ESS Engineer) to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Reports Directly to the Project Manager and supports execution in a matrix organization.
  • Builds, configures, administers, and maintains HBSS Firewalls in accordance with security guidelines, applicable Task orders, and best security practices.
  • Maintains HBSS compliance with operations and tasking orders, and other DoD configuration compliance requirements.
  • Installs and configures required Trellix products, including but not limited to Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) Client, ENS Firewall, Threat Prevention, Rogue System Detectors on enterprise Microsoft and Linux endpoints.
  • Maintains malware security compliance and troubleshooting/resolving issues remotely via the Trellix ePO console.
  • Support a team environment based on mutual respect and teamwork, dedicated to innovation and effective, efficient work practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters degree and 3+ years of relevant security experience, or Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant security, or a High School Diploma and 9+ years of relevant security experience, in lieu of Masters degree
  • Experience with HBSS and ESS
  • Experience with Trelix products
  • Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications (ex. Linux, Windows, VMWare)
  • IAT-II level at a minimum in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2 and DoD 8140/8570. (ex. CompTia Sec+)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the United States Navy preferred
  • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain SAP access.

Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 25% travel anticipated.
  • Work will require movement from Government site to/from MANTECH site for client meetings and support functions.
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which involve delivering presentations.
