Job description

Job Description Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Security Assistant to support comprehensive security operations for classified programs. This position requires an individual capable of managing complex security documentation, conducting compliance activities, and maintaining stringent security protocols across multiple security domains. Responsibilities Security Documentation & Compliance * Review, document, and provide recommendations on security documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operations Security (OPSEC) plans, Security Test Plans, Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), and related materials * Maintain facility folders (electronic and hard copy) containing required documentation: facility accreditation letters, equipment approvals, SOP approvals, System Security Plans, approvals to operate, appointment letters, and other compliance documentation * Maintain personnel folders (electronic and hard copy) with required documentation including approved Program Access Requests (PARs), training records, and Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIAs) Facility Inspections & Site Assistance * Provide support for facility Site Assist Visits and compliance inspections * Conduct thorough, accurate, and documented self-inspections * Review documentation, validate office procedures, and provide assistance during physical inspections * Deliver feedback and recommendations to the customer following inspections Security Inquiries & Investigations * Conduct security inquiries and document preliminary inquiry reports with findings and recommendations * Evaluate preliminary inquiry reports from field activities and provide independent recommendations to the customer * Develop strategies to reduce or eliminate recurring security incidents Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA) * Develop and or administer a comprehensive SETA program including indoctrinations, briefings, foreign travel briefings, courier briefings, event-driven briefings, and debriefings * Ensure all personnel receive appropriate and timely security training Visitor Control & Badging * Maintain visitor control and badging systems supporting Unclassified, Collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) visit requirements * Ensure timely preparation, receipt, and processing of visit notifications * Verify accurate visitor identification and clearance information using Customer-approved databases * Prepare and properly destroy visitor badges as required * Escort uncleared visitors in accordance with security protocols Courier Operations * Prepare, maintain, and obtain signature approval for Program Office courier credentials Top Secret Control Functions * Fulfill duties as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Assistant Top Secret Control Officer (ATSCO) * Conduct inventories of controlled and accountable classified material Test & Demonstration Support * Provide comprehensive security test support including creation of test plans, test-specific OPSEC plans, transportation plans, destruction plans, test schedules, and security objectives * Deliver security support during test and demonstration events Policy Development & Implementation * Assess, develop, and implement security policies and procedures ensuring classified information remains protected at all stages * Serve as backup for Document Control Officer (DCO) and/or Security Administrative Assistant (SAA) positions as needed #clearance Qualifications * Education / Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. * High School Diploma (or equivalent) * This position requires U.S. citizenship and a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance with most recent investigation (SSBI, SBPR, PPR, T5, T5R) completed within the last 6 years. * The CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) must be obtained within Two (2) years after hire and maintained through employment as a Program Security Assistant (PSA). * Experience: * Four (4) years' experience in a DoD Security environment (Military, Govt Civilian, or DoD contractor). Two (2) years of that experience working in specialized classified environment is desired. * Working knowledge of security manuals, directives, and Executive orders to include but not limited to; EO 13526, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM), ICD 705, DoDM 5200.01, Volumes 1-4, DoDM 5205.07, Volumes 1-4, DoDI 5205.11 and DoD 8500.01 * Proficiency in maintaining electronic and physical recordkeeping systems * Ability to interpret and apply complex security regulations and policies * Experience with security compliance inspections and audits preferred * Prior experience in a security support role within classified programs highly desired * Skills & Technology Used: * Proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and Outlook * Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail * Excellent written and verbal communication skills At V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
