Job description

CSCI is a seeking a intricately motivated Assistant Task Security Officer (TSO) and Personnel Security Assistant with a focus on Personnel Security who will provide "day-to-day" multi-discipline support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
The Assistant TSO will assist with Program's Personnel Security Program by ensuring the official database is up to date, DoD Personnel Accountability Reporting System (PAR) generation, tracking of PARs, and assistance with billet management. In addition, the Assistant TSO will assist with tracking Physical security documentation.
The candidate must have a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
This position is on-site, Monday-Friday in Springfield, VA. Long distance travel is required (2-5 times a year).
Responsibilities
The candidate's responsibilities include but not limited to;
  • Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
  • Ensure program security paperwork is maintained.
  • Assist with compliance inspections and security standardization training.
  • Maintain all personnel security records and ensure records are current and in accordance with applicable personnel security requirements.
  • Generate and review PARs, track PARs, and assist with billet management.
  • Conduct annual personnel security reviews, including JADS and JADE database reviews, and prepare and execute corrective action plans as required.

Skills - Minimum of 1-3 Years of Experience
Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business-related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience required in the DoD environments.
  • 1-3 years experience with in foundation of Personnel Security or Physical Security either in SAP or SCI.
  • Impeccable customer service skills.
  • Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems, including Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The employee must maintain clearance and eligibility throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Military background preferred, but not required.

Training/Certifications:
Basic Information Security, Introduction To The National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Certification and Accreditation Process, Introduction to Physical Security, and Introduction to Personnel Security.
Requirements - US Citizen / Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Travel:
Local and Long Distant Travel Frequent (2-5 times a year).

Applicants are required to have, at a minimum, a TOP SECRET (TS) clearances with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.

Compensation
Compensation at CSCI is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of CSCI's total compensation package.
Salary Range
$70,000 - $95,000/Yr
