Job description

We are looking to add dedicated Security Supervisors to our growing team. Join our team and become part of a reputable organization that values your dedication and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Job Title: Security Supervisor
Locations: Various locations in the New York City field (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens) and White Plains
Work Type: Full-Time Employment Available
Pay Rate: $26/hour
Experience Level: 2-3 years of security supervisor experience required
Current Shifts Available:
  • Morning - Times will vary
  • Afternoon - Times will vary
  • Overnight - Times will vary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to JSB client sites by public transportation or your personal car
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with JSB standards
  • Provide comprehensive training for new security guards on-site
  • Participate in and assist with training classes led by managers
  • Conduct security post inspections and regular check-ins
  • Prepare detailed reports for every site visit
  • Observe, document, and report any potential hazards or issues affecting security guards, JSB, or our clients
  • Respond to on-site incidents and prepare detailed incident and log reports
  • Provide on-site coaching and training for guards and security professionals
  • Address and correct any inappropriate performance by security guards
  • Enforce JSB's policies and procedures by issuing write-ups when necessary
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
  • Hold post as needed at any site
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of proven security supervisor experience
  • Valid New York State Security Guard License
  • Ability to quickly obtain site-specific certifications, including OSHA 10 Hour Construction & Safety, S-95, F-01, CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Must be willing to travel and perform duties in the field (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens)
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Strong team management skills, including scheduling and coverage
  • Excellent communication skills to de-escalate situations effectively
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Command of the English language and ability to communicate clearly
  • Proficiency in using smartphones and tablets
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old (or as per state regulations)
  • Authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug test with negative results
  • Pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable
  • If prior military, must be able to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, upon job offer
