Job description

The Securities Operations Specialist is directly responsible for specialized functions, including processing and settlement of securities and treasury transactions, within the bank and broker dealer. The Securities Operations Specialist must be an organized self-starter that can effectively perform in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-platform international environment. To be able to work under defined SLA and KPI metrics.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide superior customer service to internal clients (bankers / register representatives).
• Support team members and the Securities Operations Specialist and Supervisor in providing customer service to internal clients (bankers / register representatives).
• Direct liaison with Clearing Agent (Pershing LLC).
• Performs investigations of pre-settlement discrepancies to ensure timely settlement of RVP / DVP trades on RTTM.
• Effectively communicate with contra parties and trading desk.
• Creation of security, maintain control and booking of Structured notes.
• Creation of security, maintain control and booking of Yankee CDs.
• Review, prevent or resolve unsettled fail trades.
• Process securities transfers (depo to depo and ACAT).
• Report or send notices on Margin calls, options in the money or exercised and CA events.
• Submit CA elections on NETX360.
• Maintain cost basis.
• Monitor and address Margin Calls.
• Maintain regulatory reporting (DTCC).
• Investigate discrepancies related to securities reconciliations including resolution.
• Develop and implement improvements and solutions to tasks and processes with a focus on performance, collaboration, and efficiency.
• Create and maintain manuals of procedures.
Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor's Degree preferred (Finance or Accounting).
• Series 99 or series 7.
• Knowledge of Netx360.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Commitment to deliver a positive experience to our clients.
• 1 -3 years of Banking / Broker Dealer experience.
• Microsoft Office; Strong knowledge of Excel. Usage of AI agents (Copilot).
• Comfortable working across multiple software/platforms with proficiency in extracting, analyzing, validating, manipulating and entering data across such tools.
• Knowledge of securities characteristics, trade execution, settlements & reconciliations.
• Fluency in English is required. Portuguese and/or Spanish desirable.
