Job description

Position Overview OSAAVA Services is seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer to architect and guide secure cloud-native solutions supporting mission systems aligned with operations at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) located at Wright-Patterson AFB. This role serves as a technical leadership position within a classified environment, responsible for designing modern software architectures, guiding development teams, and supporting the modernization of mission systems through secure cloud platforms and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will bring experience in cloud-native development, secure software engineering, and system integration, with the ability to lead development efforts supporting mission-critical defense systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement secure cloud-native architectures supporting mission systems
• Lead secure software development efforts within classified environments
• Oversee system integration across mission platforms and data environments
• Guide development teams operating within DevSecOps pipelines
• Ensure secure coding practices aligned with DoD cybersecurity standards, including STIG and RMF compliance
• Support modernization of legacy systems to scalable cloud-based architectures
• Implement containerized and microservices-based solutions
• Collaborate with engineering and mission teams to ensure secure, resilient system delivery Required Qualifications • Active security clearance (or recently held and eligible for reinstatement)
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
• 5+ years of software development experience supporting secure or classified environments
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (AWS or Azure Government environments preferred)
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes-based architectures
• Strong background in system integration and distributed system design Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or cross-domain data environments
• Experience implementing event-driven architectures
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled system integration
• Experience modernizing legacy mission systems to cloud-based platforms
