Fuel Process & Development Engineering Section Manager
Position Overview:
Manage fuel process engineering section and ensure the process engineering services are performed in a cost-effective manner and that priorities are established in accordance with regulatory and customer contract requirements.
Location:
On-site in Erwin, Tennessee
Your Day to Day as a Fuel Process and Development Engineering Section Manager:
  • Direct the work of process engineers assigned to this section to accomplish the objectives of the annual operating plan.
  • Provide recommendations and justification for the sub-department capital budget.
  • Provide process parameters and material balance flow sheets for capital projects in this area of responsibility.
  • Review and recommend approval of proposals for process and equipment improvements prepared by subordinates.
  • Review and evaluate the technical requirements of customer inquiries and recommend modifications in keeping with NFs capabilities and policies.
  • Review and approve procedures prepared by subordinates and ensure all regulatory and customer contract requirements are met.

Required Qualifications:
B. S. -- Engineering required
M. S. or M. B. A. preferred
DOE Q Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a Q Clearance is required.
Over fifteen years' engineering experience; preferably in support of DOE Category 1 or 2 nuclear facility support.

Pay: $136,000 - $207,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $136,000 and $207,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
