Expectations:

Responsible for performing clerical and non-clinical patient duties on inpatient and outpatient units. This position may require flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Proven experience as a unit secretary in applicable patient care area with evidence of having participated in Performance Improvement Models i.e. conferences, meetings, seminars, councils preferred.
SKILLS:
Must be willing and able to work in a face paced, frequently changing environment.
Must be willing and able to multi-task effectively to accomplish work assignments.
Must be able and willing to take direction from a variety of staff members - sometimes with conflicting directions and deadlines.
Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems.
Knowledge/experience with use of medical terminology.
Microsoft Office skills or equivalent.

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

Our compensation reflects the following premium structure for every shift:- Base rate paid for the first 8 hours of work in a day- 1.5x overtime pay for hours 8-12 worked in a workday.- 2x double-time pay for any hours beyond 12 in a workdayThis ensures that employees are fairly compensated for the full length of their shift, with enhanced pay as their workday progresses. The estimated blended hourly rate, accounting for these premiums on a 12-hour shift, ranges from $28.00 to $36.17.
