Vantor is currently seeking a Cloud Security Engineer (DevOps) to join our team in Westminster or Longmont, CO. In this role you will have ownership responsibility for the operation of several security applications/services, for integrating security requirements into the common infrastructure design and supporting common infrastructure service solutions for the enterprise. As a key member of our Development and Security Team, you will work with Information Assurance and other DevOps engineers to ensure security is an upfront consideration during design and is operationally practiced throughout the system lifecycle. The collaborative nature of the role will present growth opportunities in both DevOps and Information Security skillsets. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain multiple security applications/services in a cloud-based environment that operates using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, automated pipeline, and infrastructure issues related to security services.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration of security tools.
  • Build effective security monitoring, alerting, and metrics from log aggregators and data collectors.
  • Provide a collaborative conduit between security focused and development focused teams.
  • Provide configuration and vulnerability management support for production applications and custom code.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an existing SECRET security clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI access with a Counterintelligence Polygraph required after award of SCI access.
  • CompTIA Security+ or other DoDD 8140 certification
  • Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a secure environment with some on-call or after-hours onsite support for customer’s mission.
  • 5 years of DevOps, software, or infrastructure engineering experience and a Bachelor’s degree. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use a wide variety of open-source technologies.
  • Cloud service experience.
  • Experience with Terraform and K8S or equivalent technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holds any AWS certification, or other cloud provider’s certifications 
  • Prior experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins 
  • Proficiency in Python or Java 
  • Experience automating, running and maintaining a variety of security tool types (some combination of i.e. monitoring, compliance, vulnerability detection, intrusion detection and prevention, change management and detection, code analysis, etc.)
  • Experience with custom source application development and maintenance

Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $102,000.00 - $136,000.00 - $149,600.00 annually. 

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
