Job description

Responsibilities

Foreign intelligence services don't stop - and neither do we. Peraton is seeking a Counterintelligence Analyst to join our team supporting USCYBERCOM J2X at Fort Meade, MD. In this role, you'll conduct all-source analysis across CI functions, researching foreign intelligence services' intent and capabilities, identifying threats to U.S. personnel and programs, and producing analytical products that directly inform command-level CI strategy.

This is a role for a developing CI professional who brings solid analytic tradecraft, a working knowledge of foreign intelligence collection methods, and the drive to grow within one of the most consequential CI missions in the DoD. You'll work alongside senior analysts and contribute meaningfully to products that shape how USCYBERCOM understands and counters adversary threats.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct all-source analysis across CI functions using information from multiple sources to identify trends, gaps, and leads
  • Assess, interpret, and provide warning of foreign intelligence services' intent and capability to target U.S. interests
  • Identify, monitor, and assess foreign intelligence efforts attempting to collect sensitive national security information on U.S. persons, activities, and interests
  • Identify threats posed by emerging technologies to U.S. operations and interests
  • Apply knowledge of foreign intelligence capabilities, activities, and TTPs to support in-depth analytic research
  • Produce all-source CI studies and tactical and operational-level analytical products to support RFIs
  • Support development of CI concepts, procedures, plans, and strategies from an analytical perspective
  • Adhere to ODNI and DIA all-source analytic tradecraft standards
  • Support development of briefings for foreign visitors and/or personnel traveling to countries with elevated CI threat
  • Maintain databases and repositories in support of CI mission requirements
  • Author and maintain Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives

QualificationsWhat You Bring

Required:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph
  • Minimum of 9 years w/o a degree or 7 years with AS/AA or 5 years with BS/BA or 3 years with MS/MA or 0 years with PhD
  • Experience maintaining databases and repositories
  • In-depth proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and PDF
  • Working knowledge of all-source analytic concepts, CI analysis, and IC/DoD classification guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting CI risk assessments and/or supply chain risk assessments
  • Prior experience in a CI agent or CI support role (collection, functional services, investigations, or operations)
  • Background in supporting at least two of the four CI missions: countering espionage/terrorism/insider threat; force protection; DCIP; RDA support
  • Familiarity with foreign intelligence service collection methods and CI countermeasures
  • Knowledge of DoD CI oversight requirements and analytical tradecraft standards
  • 8+ years of relevant experience conducting CI-related analysis, including work within the last 2 years
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution
  • Graduate of an in-residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or military Service equivalent

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
