Job description


The Pawtucket School Department is seeking a Secondary Math Teacher. Under the direction of the school administrator, the classroom teacher will implement the educational curriculum.ย 
Exemplary Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students
Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of individuals to ensure success for every student
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goalsย 
Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicates these objectives to students and parents
Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor
Monitors and evaluates student outcomes
Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students
Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practicesย 
Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilitiesย 
Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.ย 
Prepares a wide variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying informationย 
Communicates and interacts with students, staff, parents and the communityย 
Supervises students in a variety of school related settings.ย 
Actively participates in advisory program and monitors and supports students in advisory classย

Minimum of two years teaching experienceย 
Compensation/Hours/Benefits:
Full PSD benefits package; 184 day contractย 
Salary range is dependent on step level and degree attainment levelย
