The Designated Subjects Teacher Pool (Secondary Level) is for assignments for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are currently in the 2025-2026 Designated Subjects Teacher Pool (Secondary Level), you must submit a completed application to be considered for a position in the 2026-2027 school year.
OVERVIEW:
San Diego Unified School District, the second largest district in California and one of the top largest urban school districts in the United States, is looking for educators who care deeply for students and are committed to the communities in which they serve.

POSITION SPECIFICS:
The Designated Subjects Teacher Pool (Secondary Level) is for assignments for the 2026-2027 school year.
The San Diego Unified School District accepts applications for the Designated Subjects Teachers at the secondary level on a continuous basis for regular full-time and part-time assignments. The Designated Subject Teacher Pool is for individuals who hold a designated subjects credential or who are eligible for a designated subjects credential and wish to teach a Career Technical Education course at a secondary school.
