Registered School Nurse (RN) Full-Time Position
Robert Moses Middle School
North Babylon Union Free School District
Start Date: August 31, 2026


Robert Moses Middle School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Registered School Nurse to join our educational team for the 20262027 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support the health, safety, and well-being of approximately 900 middle school students in grades 68.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff.
  • Assess and manage student health concerns and medical emergencies.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
  • Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, allergies, and seizure disorders.
  • Collaborate with families, physicians, counselors, teachers, and administrators to support student health needs.
  • Ensure compliance with New York State immunization requirements and health regulations.
  • Participate in health screenings, emergency preparedness planning, and school safety initiatives.
  • Promote wellness and health education throughout the school community.

Qualifications

  • Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary and Benefits

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the North Babylon School District Nurses' Association collective bargaining agreement.
