Job Summary

The Boxer is responsible for packaging finished paper products into boxes and shipping containers in a fastโ€‘paced production environment. This role involves repetitive, assemblyโ€‘line style work with product moving continuously along a conveyor at a high speed.

Pay Information

  • Base starting rate: $17.50/hour
  • 2ndโ€‘shift differential: $1.00/hour
  • Total hourly rate for 2nd shift: $18.50/hour
  • Shift differential applies only to hours worked on 2nd shift, per company policy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review work orders to determine required bags, caps, boxes, and labels
  • Print and apply product labels according to specifications
  • Bag and box finished rolls, including capping, labeling, folding, and gluing cartons
  • Plug in and operate glue guns; replenish glue sticks as needed
  • Insert finished rolls into boxes and apply exterior labels
  • Palletize boxed products following required stacking configurations
  • Handle pallets (approx. 25 lbs) and boxed rolls weighing up to 50 lbs per box
  • Build and load cargo boxes, including counting and verifying quantities
  • Perform daily cleaning duties (conveyors, tables, floors, recycling, trash removal)
  • Maintain quality standards, including proper labeling, careful handling, and clean packaging

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum 1 year of recent manufacturing or machineโ€‘operation experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a basic math and measurement test
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a nonโ€‘climateโ€‘controlled warehouse , including temperature extremes
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must pass a background check

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception (with or without corrective lenses)
