As an accounting financial reporting specialist on the GAAP Financial Reporting team, you will serve as a subject matter expert for complex accounting and financial reporting matters, with a focus on corporate accounting areas such as shareholders' equity, equity-based compensation, and other technical accounting topics. In this role, you will be responsible for managing critical financial reporting processes, including the company's dividends, and preparing support for SEC filings .
This is a hybrid role working out of our headquarters in Mayfield Village, Ohio.
Must-have qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g. Finance) and a minimum of 4 years related accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a specialized area (e.g., reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting experience.

Preferred skills
  • Experienced accountant with expertise in equity and equity-based compensation accounting.
  • Strong background in GAAP accounting principles and SEC reporting requirements, including SEC disclosures related to executive compensation and security ownership.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) and organizational skills (planning, time management, and priority management).
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and communicate accounting and financial reporting issues to management in a timely and concise manner.

Compensation
  • $74,000 - $119,500/year depending on position level.
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 30% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance.
