Position Summary:
The Seasoning Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance on seasoning equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of high-quality snack products. This role is critical to delivering the flavor, quality, and appearance standards that define Calbee products while supporting production, food safety, and sanitation objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate seasoning equipment in accordance with established operating procedures and production schedules.
- Monitor seasoning application, product quality, and equipment performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications.
- Prepare, stage, and change seasonings to support production requirements and product changeovers.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and perform routine maintenance to support efficient operations and minimize downtime.
- Perform equipment disassembly, cleaning, sanitation, and reassembly in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Review production schedules and proactively prepare for upcoming production runs and seasoning changes.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records.
- Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to support efficient plant operations.
- Assist with production activities as needed to achieve operational goals.
- Train and support team members on seasoning processes and equipment operation as assigned.
- Participate in required training related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, SQF, food safety, quality systems, and workplace safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, food safety requirements, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, food production, or processing experience preferred.
- Experience operating food processing, seasoning, packaging, or other manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve basic equipment issues.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and production equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and food safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Frequently stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb as required.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and food ingredients.
