The wood-fired pizza stand on our Boiceville campus is a fast-paced, highly visible environment where quality, hospitality, and outdoor mountain views come together. We are seeking an experienced Wood-Fired Pizza Maker to join our team and help nourish our community. This role is ideal for someone interested in pizza culture who is confident working independently, takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized workspace, and enjoys engaging with guests in an outdoor open-kitchen setting.


The Pizza Maker's primary goal is to consistently execute high-quality pizzas while maintaining strong organizational systems, prep standards, and cleanliness. This role requires the ability to manage both the technical aspects of pizza making and the flow of service, ensuring readiness for volume while maintaining attention to detail. The Pizza Maker should be comfortable interacting with customers, answering questions, and maintaining composure and professionalism during busy service periods.


This is a seasonal role that runs through the early fall. The position operates with a high degree of independence and responsibility, requiring strong time management, accountability, and consistent execution, as well as the ability to communicate and plan with the wider team.

Requirements


  • Responsible for the full pizza workflow, including prep, service, and opening/ closing
  • Prepare and cook pizzas in a wood-fired oven with consistency and attention to detail
  • Manage dough, prep levels, and oven during service
  • Prep all necessary ingredients and components for service
  • Maintain appropriate par levels through inventory awareness and prep list creation
  • Maintain awareness of ticket flow and adjust pace, accordingly, executing efficiently while holding quality standards
  • Uphold food safety and handling standards throughout prep and service
  • Wash small wares and support overall stand cleanliness throughout the shift
  • Minimum 1 year of experience making pizza (wood-fired experience preferred) or strong culinary skills and a desire to learn
  • Able to work in a semi-outdoor setting in a variety of weather conditions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Positive attitude with strong customer service skills
  • Strong hand and knife skills
  • Should have an entrepreneurial spirit, able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service
  • Ability to prep and manage ingredients efficiently
  • Able to navigate uneven terrain
  • Able to pull, push, move, and lift to waist level and carry awkward and shifting weights up to 50 pounds
  • Willing to follow all safety guidelines set out by Bread Alone
  • The Bakery is open 365 days a year, and team members must be willing to work consistently throughout the year, which includes holidays and weekends


Pizza stand hours are 10am - 8pm Friday through Sunday (plus holiday Mondays) and shorter prep hours on Thursdays.
