We're seeking an Associate Tax Accountant who is eager to learn, develop expertise, and build strong client relationships while delivering exceptional tax, accounting, and business consulting services.

In this role, you'll work directly with clients, partners, and team members to provide tax planning, tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial consulting services that help businesses succeed. What You'll Do

 

Tax Services

  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
  • Assist clients with tax planning and projections to support sound financial decision-making.
  • Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS regulations and industry requirements.
  • Maintain trial balances, general ledgers, and fixed asset schedules.
  • Process payroll tax payments and prepare payroll reporting forms.
  • Organize workload and manage deadlines during peak tax seasons.
  • Assist with training and guidance for interns and seasonal team members.

 

Client Accounting Services

  • Process payroll and payroll tax filings.
  • Perform bookkeeping services, including account reconciliations, bill payments, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain budgeting information for client businesses.
  • Travel to client locations to provide on-site accounting services when needed.
  • Support clients utilizing accounting software solutions.
  • Review and provide quality control for accounting work completed by support staff.
  • Advise clients on bookkeeping practices, account reconciliations, business planning, and operational decisions.
  • Help clients understand the value of accurate financial reporting and how it supports business growth.

Relationship Management & Consulting

  • Partner with internal teams to promote tax, accounting, and business consulting services.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients and team members on tax and accounting matters.
  • Build strong relationships through exceptional client service and professional communication.
  • Stay current on tax laws, accounting practices, and industry trends through continuous professional development.

Qualifications

 

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in accounting, taxation, finance, or business operations.

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of accounting, tax, bookkeeping, or financial services experience.
  • Experience working with farm businesses, agricultural operations, or agriculture-related industries.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and technical learning.
