GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the MLT-Medical Laboratory Tech department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
The School of Health Sciences at Greenville Technical College isseeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Medical Laboratory Technology(MLT) Adjunct Instructors. This position reports to the Academic ProgramDirector of the Medical Laboratory Technology program.
The successful candidate will provide didactic and laboratoryinstruction in Medical Laboratory Technology courses using well-planned andeffective teaching strategies aligned with program outcomes. In addition,responsibilities include conducting clinical visits to affiliated sites,maintaining accurate records of student attendance and academic progress,evaluating student performance, and assigning grades in accordance with collegeand program guidelines.
Courses are delivered in a face-to-face format during daytime hoursat the Northwest Campus, located at 8109 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC. Theposition is part-time, and all instruction will be conducted on campus; onlineteaching is not available for this role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technologywith current ASCP certification (or equivalent) is required. The candidate mustpossess comprehensive knowledge of laboratory content areas and demonstrate thecompetence and instructional skills necessary for effective teaching. A validstate-issued driver's license is also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum and Additional RequirementsA minimum of an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with current ASCP certification (or equivalent) is required. The candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of laboratory content areas and demonstrate the competence and instructional skills necessary for effective teaching. A valid state-issued driver's license is also required.Preferred QualificationsA bachelor's degree and certification as MLT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP), or an equivalent credential, are preferred. Preference will be given to applicants who possess prior teaching experience as well as experience in microbiology and/or blood banking.
