About Margaux

Margaux is an authentic expression of the style and spirit of everyone who wears them. Sarah Pierson and Alexa Buckley launched Margaux in 2015 with the mission of creating beautiful shoes that meet the demands of everyday life. Margaux shoes are thoughtfully designed, versatile, and comfortable—made, in other words, for a woman too busy for the shoe shuffle. Designed in New York City, and crafted in Spain, Margaux also offers inclusive sizing with its vast range (from EU 33 to 45) and option to choose from three widths (narrow, medium, or wide).

About the Role

Margaux is seeking a thoughtful and highly organized Customer Experience Associate to join our team in a part-time, remote capacity. Working closely with the CX team, you will support customers throughout their shopping journey, delivering warm, personalized service across email and chat.

This is a seasonal position running through the end of the year, with the possibility of evolving into an ongoing, non-seasonal part-time role depending on fit and business needs. We're looking for someone who can start immediately.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys connecting with customers, and takes pride in creating a seamless, detail-oriented experience. There will also be opportunities to flex up hours during key moments in the business, including major sales and seasonal peaks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting customers throughout their shopping journey
  • Handle comprehensive customer support including:
    • Product recommendations and sizing guidance
    • Order placement and status updates
    • Returns and exchanges processing
    • Shipping issue resolution
  • Master all operational procedures to ensure efficient and accurate order processing
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver the best possible customer experience
  • Maintain strong communication channels with internal teams (Ops, Product Development) to relay customer feedback and drive improvements
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of business operations to provide informed assistance
Who You Are:
  • A bright, welcoming presence who genuinely delights in connecting with others
  • Naturally empathetic and gracious, bringing warmth to every interaction
  • Quick-thinking and creative, with an elegant approach to problem-solving
  • A wonderful communicator who expresses themselves beautifully in writing and conversation
  • Comfortable gracefully moving between various customer service platforms
  • Skilled at crafting personal, caring responses across email and messaging
  • Super organized, with an eye for detail and excellence
  • Gracefully manages their own schedule while working remotely
  • Thrives in our dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities with ease
  • Approaches every task, big or small, with enthusiasm and care
  • Dedicated to making each customer's experience extraordinary
It would be ideal if you have:
  • Previous experience on an e-commerce customer service team
  • Previous retail experience
  • Experience with Shopify and Gorgias

Availability, Compensation & Location:

  • Start date: Immediate start / ASAP
  • Availability: Sunday, Monday, and Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm EST is ideal (approximately 24 hours per week)
  • Peak season flexibility: Ability to flex up to 40 hours per week during our BFCM sale period, November 17 – December 15
  • Compensation: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
  • Location: Remote (U.S. based only)
