Who is Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare?
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We serve families across the state of New Jersey and are currently seeking dedicated Seasonal Behavioral Technicians to join our Essex County team.
Job Summary
As a Seasonal Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Providers typically work 5โ20 hours per week, with 2โ4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands-off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well-being.
Roles amp; Responsibilities
โข Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
โข Ensure the safety and well-being of the client
โข Implement strategies outlined in each childโs Individual Support Plan
โข Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
โข Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
โข Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines
โข Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies
โข Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness
โข Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
โข Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
- Valid New Jersey Driverโs License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Must be willing and able to commit to the position for a minimum of three (3) months.
Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines
- If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
- If you have a Bachelorโs degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, guidance and counseling, or social work, you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
- If with a High School Diploma or GED, you must at least have three (3) years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals

Sign-On Bonus
We are excited to offer a $300 sign-on bonus to new Behavioral Technicians who join our team in Essex County!
Bonus Structure:
โข $150 issued after 45 days of active employment
โข $150 issued after 60 days of active employment
โข Must meet all eligibility criteria throughout the bonus period
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the sign-on bonus, employees must:
โข Complete all onboarding and orientation requirements
โข Maintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2โ3 assigned clients
โข Stay actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessions
โข Remain in good standing throughout the bonus period
Definition of Good Standing
An employee is considered in good standing if they:
โข Consistently meet performance expectations and documentation deadlines
โข Have no active Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or disciplinary actions
โข Maintain effective communication with supervisors and families
โข Comply with all attendance policies and case responsibilities
