Founded in 1915, Marietta Country Club is a member-owned club in Kennesaw, Georgia, located 28 miles from downtown Atlanta. The Club features 27 spectacular holes of Robert Cupp-designed golf, offering challenging risks and rewards for golfers of all skill levels. Set on historic Civil War era farmland, the Club's "three nines" yield vistas of Kennesaw Mountain, beautiful lakes, ponds, and streams.
The Tennis facility includes 8 immaculately maintained Hydro Court clay courts and 4 all-weather Laykold hard courts. The Club has a Fitness facility including a weight room, locker rooms, and a group fitness room. The Pool complex includes the pool, pool pavilion, and snack bar. Marietta Country Club is seeking a skilled Seasonal Pool Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the food industry and a passion for cooking while providing quality food to our members and their guests.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will accurately complete member and guest orders in a timely manner. In addition, this individual will maintain consistent food preparation and plate presentation for the Pool Kitchen and Rose Pavilion. This is a Seasonal Position and ends when the Pool Season is over—exemplary candidates will be eligible for rehire.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
  • Demonstrate technical skills in culinary preparation and cooking procedure.
  • Prepare short-order dishes consistently, adhering to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature and meets quality standards.
  • Collaborates with Chef de Cuisine to fulfill orders and inventory needs.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve during service.
  • Ticket comprehension is a must.
  • Ability to follow standardized portion amp; control.
  • Adhere to proper food service and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintains kitchen equipment amp; station cleanliness.
  • Communicates effectively to Chef de Cuisine regarding product needs, schedule availability, and other special circumstances.
  • Communicates respectfully to all staff members, managers, and club members.
  • Appearance amp; demeanor must always be clean and professional.
  • Maintain a positive amp; team-oriented attitude.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a professional Kitchen.
  • Understands cooking vocabulary and instructions.
  • Performs well in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to continually bend, reach, twist and use hands and arms.
