Opportunity

Our cardiothoracic surgery department working collaboratively with cardiology to provide services to include: Open Heart – CABG; Aortic & Mitral valve replacement, TEVAR and TAVR, Minimally invasive heart surgeries and thoracic procedures. This position would be hired through MUSC and the individual would work at Self Regional in Greenwood, SC.

Practice highlights:

· 3 physician office/hospital hybrid based practice; 2 Physician Assistants

· dedicated Heart OR team

· Dedicated onsite lab

· Weekly Tumor Boards

· EPIC EHR system

Minimum Requirements: MD or MD equivalent.

Greenwood is situated in the foothills of South Carolina and on the shores of Lake Greenwood.  It is a three-hour drive to Charleston’s beautiful beaches, two hours to the Appalachian Mountains, and equivalent distances to both Atlanta and Charlotte.  It is called both “the Emerald City” and “the Lakelands” due to its desirable climate and the numerous lakes in close proximity.  It offers year-round golf, seasonal watersports and excellent hunting and fishing opportunities. About Self Regional

Self Regional is a non-profit hospital, is the region’s largest employer and enjoys the benefit of a large, private endowment ensuring its financial solvency.  It provides care to the residents of Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield and Newberry Counties.  Self Medical Group is the large medical practice division of Self Regional Healthcare that employs 60 primary care physicians and 53 specialists in addition to 44 hospital-based physicians.
