A fast-paced, seasonal high-volume food concept in Long Beach Island is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee back-of-house operations, ensure consistent food quality, and lead a strong, efficient kitchen team in a high-demand coastal environment.
This role is responsible for managing all kitchen operations including prep, production, line execution, inventory control, and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily BOH operations including prep, line execution, and production flow
  • Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Maintain quality control, portion standards, and recipe execution
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and vendor coordination
  • Control food costs, labor efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Support scheduling, staffing, and peak-season labor planning
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with ownership/FOH to ensure smooth service execution
Qualifications:
  • 2–5+ years of kitchen management experience in high-volume restaurants
  • Strong background in fast-casual, scratch kitchen, or handheld food concepts
  • Experience with dough handling or production-based cooking strongly preferred
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and peak summer operations
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on kitchen leader who enjoys fast-paced beach-season volume, building strong teams, and maintaining consistent quality in a high-energy environment.
