OVERVIEW: The Irrigation Technician at Boca West Country Club is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the golf courses' irrigation systems across four luxurious courses. This experienced professional ensures optimal water distribution, promotes healthy turf, and supports the aesthetic and operational excellence of the golf courses through expert irrigation management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Irrigation System Maintenance & Repair
  • Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of irrigation systems, including valves, heads, controllers, and pumps.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimize water waste and maximize system efficiency.
  • Perform seasonal start-up and shut-down procedures for irrigation systems.

Installation & Upgrades
  • Assist in the installation of new irrigation components, upgrades, and system expansions.
  • Support system design modifications to improve coverage, efficiency, and water conservation.

Monitoring & System Management
  • Use computerized controllers and weather data to optimize watering schedules.
  • Regularly calibrate and test system components to ensure proper operation.
  • Record maintenance activities and system modifications accurately.

Water Management & Conservation
  • Monitor water usage and identify opportunities for conservation.
  • Support compliance with water usage regulations and club policies.

Tools, Equipment & Inventory Management

  • Proven experience in irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance.
