Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Machine Operator in USA Fontana, Ca.

Report to the Production Manager, the Machine Operator is responsible for operating various machinery throughout the production floor, including a laser engraver or wire marker machine to create customized identifiers for our manufacturing projects.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Operates nameplate machine to engrave information on gravel-ply material
  • Operates a wire marker machine to create labels for different sized wires and cables
  • Utilizes nameplate and wire marker schedule and blueprints to determine quantity, size, and wording of plates and markers to be created
  • Inputs required information into machine software for each nameplate or wire marker
  • Install name plates and wire markers onto all manufacturing projects
  • Follow up with purchasing department and vendors to get timely updates on orders for materials, as needed
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years' experience in a related field
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate the nameplate and wire marker machine controls.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including nameplate schedule, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of using a computer and data entry skills
  • Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, etc.)

What the physical requirements are:

  • Periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk using machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
