Job description

Our seasonal positions require 2 years' experience for most units with occasional exception requiring a minimum of 1 year experience. Under general supervision of medical and nursing staff, following policies, procedures and professional guidelines assists with surgical and endoscopy procedures; provides, assembles, and cares for surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment before, during and after procedures. Assists with cleaning, restocking, and processing of the surgical suite, instruments, and equipment, as needed. Identifies and reports situations requiring intervention to the RN or Clinician. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

  • Graduate of Surgical Technologist training program and current certification required. 

  • 2 years of experience in OR.

  • Ability to work in varied surgical settings and services such as general/GU, robotics, orthopedics, GYN, eye/ENT, neuro/neurospine.

  • Must have Orthopedic and Neurosurgery experience.
