Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...
About the Team: This is a unique opportunity to help shape and build the future of the Member’s Mark design organization, making a meaningful impact on both the product and the team. We are looking for an entrepreneurial creative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a strong strategic point of view, and leads through both innovation and execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic creative leader and highly skilled designer with deep product expertise, a strong apparel background, and a passion for developing talent and elevating design excellence across the organization. What you’ll do
  • Lead seasonal design direction and storytelling by overseeing sketches, presentations, and strategic narratives that clearly communicate the seasonal design development strategy across multiple categories or brands.
  • Drive prototype development and fit intent by leading seasonal sample execution, guiding fit direction (balance, flattering fit), and ensuring high-quality prototypes with strong adoption.
  • Elevate materials, color, print, and fabric decisions by innovating on materials and guiding color theory, print execution, and fabric choices to strengthen brand quality and fashion positioning.
  • Translate trend and customer insights into commercial product by applying macro/cultural trends, competitor movement, and customer feedback (including trend platforms and performance signals) to build trend-right assortments that deliver quality at Walmart prices.
  • Optimize design operations and delivery by managing seasonal timelines, coordinating cross-functional handoffs (tech packs, sampling, vendors), and leveraging PLM/CAD/3D and AI-enhanced tools to improve speed, accuracy, and design-to-cost outcomes.
What you’ll bring
  • Senior-level apparel design expertise with a strong track record creating trend-right assortments, leading fit intent, and delivering high-quality product aligned to value and margin goals.
  • Advanced visual communication skills including mastery of fashion sketching/illustration and the ability to craft compelling design narratives and presentations.
  • Deep product development fluency across materials, fabric selection, color theory, print development, prototyping, and design-to-cost decisioning.
  • Tool and workflow proficiency using design enablement systems such as PLM, CAD, workflow trackers, and 2D/3D outputs; ability to leverage AI and trend data to improve design speed and accuracy.
  • Strategic trend and brand leadership with experience synthesizing macro/cultural signals, social listening and trend tools, and past-season performance into actionable design POVs and seasonal guides.
