POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Copy Manager, will lead the editorial voice and creative expression across Ralph Lauren's brands, operating as a senior creative partner to brand leadership-shaping narrative direction, guiding concept development, and ensuring a refined, consistent voice across all touchpoints.
With a deep understanding of fashion, culture, and storytelling, this leader brings both editorial rigor and conceptual strength-translating creative vision into compelling copy that captures the nuance and aspiration of the Ralph Lauren consumer. They oversee and mentor a team of writers while working cross-functionally with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Belonging & Equity, and Corporate Communications to bring cohesive, resonant stories to life.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Direction & Concept Development
  • Lead copy concepting in partnership with Brand Creative Directors, shaping seasonal narratives and campaign platforms for women's categories.
  • Translate creative vision into clear, compelling language across campaigns, editorials, and brand storytelling.
  • Partner with Art Directors and Designers to ensure copy and visuals work seamlessly together, elevating the overall creative output.
  • Contribute to high-level creative discussions, bringing a strong editorial point of view rooted in fashion, culture, and storytelling.

Editorial Oversight & Brand Voice
  • Own and refine the voice across Collection, Women's Polo, Lauren, Home, Fragrance, and Accessories.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and emotional resonance across all copy outputs-from campaign headlines to long-form editorial.
  • Edit and elevate work from manager-level copywriters, providing clear, actionable feedback that sharpens storytelling and tone.
  • Maintain a balance between brand expression and commercial clarity across all deliverables.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage and mentor a team of copywriters and senior copywriters, fostering growth, craft, and editorial excellence.
  • Set a high bar for writing quality, taste, and storytelling across the team.
  • Provide guidance on workload, prioritization, and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced, multi-category environment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Product Copy, and E-commerce teams to align storytelling with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with DEI and Corporate Communications to ensure messaging is thoughtful, inclusive, and aligned with brand values.
  • Work across global teams to ensure consistency of voice while allowing for regional nuance where appropriate.
  • Support fragrance and accessories storytelling with a nuanced understanding of product, emotion, and sensory language.

Campaign & Category Execution
  • Oversee copy development for seasonal campaigns, launches, and key brand moments across women's categories.
  • Ensure storytelling translates seamlessly across channels, including digital, social, retail, and wholesale.
  • Elevate product narratives into rich, editorial storytelling that reflects craftsmanship, heritage, and modern luxury

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience in fashion copywriting, editorial, or advertising.
  • Strong background in fashion journalism and/or agency experience, with a portfolio demonstrating concepting and storytelling excellence.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring writers in a creative environment.
  • Deep knowledge of women's fashion, styling, and cultural trends.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a refined sense of tone, voice, and narrative.
  • Ability to lead creative conversations and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple categories, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience working across multiple platforms and channels, from campaign to commerce.
  • A strong alignment with the Ralph Lauren aesthetic and sensibility.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including outside of local time zone as needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ralph Lauren maintains a balanced approach to work arrangements, emphasizing both flexibility through hybrid options and the importance of in-person collaboration. North America corporate employees (excluding remote and regional roles) work from the office 2-3 days weekly. Some roles require a more frequent office presence. This policy aims to foster learning, strengthen company culture, and promote effective collaboration through face-to-face interactions.
