The Position:
Looking for a job that actually feels meaningful? At British Swim School, our instructors do more than teach swim lessons. They help save lives.
As a Swim Instructor, you will teach children as young as 3 months and adults using our proven, gentle, and progressive methods. We provide comprehensive training, so no prior teaching experience is required. You will build the skills and confidence to work with swimmers of all ages and abilities.
This is a hands-on, high-energy role focused on connection. You will spend your time in the water, engaging with swimmers, building trust, and making learning fun.
We are looking for team members who want a consistent, year-round role. This is not a seasonal or summer-only position.
Your Typical Responsibilities:

  • Support the Aquatics Leader and/or Business Owner(s)
  • Follow British Swim School's curriculum to ensure safe & competent lessons & environment
  • Evening shifts (3pm-7pm), weekend shifts (8:30am- 1pm)
  • Maintain certifications throughout employment
  • Work in an environment where noise levels run moderate-high, and stand in the water for up to 4.5 consecutive hours
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion
  • Strong swimming skills, experience with the 4 strokes
  • Enthusiastic personality
  • Experience working with children
  • Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment
  • Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competitive swim or swim team background
  • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training)
